There were many ways to explore this year's theme. We just un-leashed our imagination to showcase our favorite TV show, cartoon, or movie! If you missed it this year...get ready for 2010!

2009 Contest Rules:
After years of trying to improve the procedure, we have decided to try a different approach this year….

1. No group is too large or too small to participate - but you must be a "paid" parade participant.
2. Everyone who wants to participate in the costume contest MUST HAVE their photo taken before the start of the parade!!! You do not have to purchase or pay for your photo if you don't choose to, but we are just using this as part of the judging procedure!
3. Your race number must be clearly visible for the photograph.
4. The first phase of judging will take place at the Reviewing Stand by the judges. If the distance to the Reviewing Stand is too far for you or your dog, don't worry, everyone's photograph will be reviewed and judged at a later date also.
5. WINNERS WILL NOT BE ANNOUNCED AT THE PARADE THIS YEAR! You do not need to stay around, or make it to the parade's end to win. All winners will be notified no later than two weeks after the parade, and their names/winning photos will be posted on-line also.
6. You will want to pick your prizes up at our Post-parade Pawty at Zorro's (434 N. Columbia Street, Covington - next to Tap Room) Saturday, March 21st from 1-3pm. Winners do not have to attend our Post-parade party to receive their prize, but you and your dog(s) will miss a great time if you don't!
7. Have a Heart thru Art volunteers and ROYAL HAIRS are excluded from the contest.
8. We will have a professional panel of 10 judges headed up by Becky Vest, Sharon Scheib, Karla Partridge, and Leslie Boudreaux!
